He hails from a prominent family; his mother, Joy Emodi, is a distinguished Nigerian politician and former senator who represented the Anambra North Constituency, while his father, the late Dr. Okey Emodi, was an economist and educationist.

Education
Prior to his acting career, Ray Emodi had his primary and secondary school education in Nigeria before moving over to the UK.
He studied Business Management and International Strategic Enterprise at the Nottingham Trent University, where he obtained a degree.
Later on, he moved to California to gain a degree in acting at the New York Film Academy.
Career
Standing at an impressive height of 6 feet 4 inches, Emodi returned to Nigeria to embark on his professional acting career.
