Veteran Nollywood actress Chinwe Owoh laid her husband, Frank Owoh, to rest on Saturday, July 26, in their hometown of Udi, Enugu State.

Emotional footage from the burial ceremony emerged online the next day, showing the heart-wrenching moment Chinwe broke down in tears as her husband’s coffin was lowered into the grave and covered with sand.

The funeral drew several prominent figures from the Nigerian film industry, including actors Bob Manuel Udokwu and Nkem Owoh—who is also Chinwe’s brother-in-law. Their presence reflected the strong support from colleagues and loved ones during this painful time.

Mourners struggled to contain their grief, with Chinwe visibly devastated by the loss. Reports confirm that her husband passed away in April.

Chinwe Owoh began her acting career in 1999 and rose to fame following her role in the 2001 film Mothering Sunday. She has since appeared in numerous Nollywood productions, including Royal Tears, Town in Danger, Sister Faith, Wisdom of the Gods, and Mummy Why?

In a related development, GistLover earlier reported that Big Brother Naija host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu paid tribute to Nkem Owoh by donning an outfit inspired by the veteran actor at the premiere of the show’s tenth season.

Meanwhile, the video of Chinwe Owoh’s emotional moment at the burial continues to circulate online, drawing sympathy and support from fans and colleagues alike.
