Nollywood star and veteran comedian Okey Bakassi has added a royal title to his name as he is officially crowned the traditional ruler of the Umuihuocha Autonomous Community in Mbaise, Imo State.

The beloved entertainer now holds the title His Royal Highness Eze Okechukwu Onyegbule, the Okwe II of Umuihuocha Obohia. His coronation ceremony was a colorful display of Igbo cultural pride, with traditional music, attire, and festivities that reflected the deep roots of the community’s heritage.
Taking to Instagram, Bakassi shared a video from the event and expressed gratitude to his people, captioning it: “Special presentation as king (Eze) of Umuihuocha community.” The post quickly gained traction among fans and fellow celebrities, who celebrated this major milestone with him.
