Nollywood actress Ruth Eze has shared a candid message for women feeling pressured to get married. In a recent Instagram post, the Asaba-based actress advised women to be patient and wait for the right partner, instead of allowing social media pressure to push them into the wrong relationships.

Eze cautioned against rushing into marriage just to impress others, especially those who don’t genuinely care. She emphasized the importance of marrying wisely rather than ending up with someone emotionally unstable just to fit a societal image or personal fantasy.
In her words:

“My sister, it’s better to wait and marry right o. Don’t allow the internet pressure you o. No go marry mad man because you want to pepper people that don’t give a f*** about you.
Hmm… no go marry mad man because you want to marry your ‘spec’ o. Calm down.
My point is: wait that wait and marry right. While waiting, you fit drop one o—that one dey. I don talk my own ooo.”
This isn’t the first time Ruth Eze has spoken out on matters of love and relationships. When gospel singer Mercy Chinwo got married, Eze used the opportunity to advise women not to overextend themselves just to keep a man.
In past interviews, Ruth Eze has made her stance on relationships crystal clear. She once declared that she would rather be a lesbian than stay with a violent man. In another interview, she controversially stated that she’d prefer a wealthy, unfaithful partner over being with a poor man.

In a separate statement, the actress also lamented the high level of pretense and fake affection in Nollywood. She expressed frustration over how people openly celebrate those they privately criticize and called on God to have mercy on the industry.
